The KCMC University, in collaboration with Imperial College London, invites applications for a fully funded PhD position to investigate arbovirus transmission dynamics across Africa within the context of a changing climate.

Eligibility

• A Master of Science (MSc) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics is preferred. 
• Applicants with a background in health-related fields will also be considered. 
• Evidence of computational skills, particularly experience with R software (and potentially other programming languages such as C or Python), and machine learning is highly desirable. 
• A minimum MSc GPA of 4.0 is preferred. 
• An undergraduate degree with first or upper-second class honors, or equivalent, is preferred. 
• Applicants must be Tanzanian.
• Women applicants are highly encouraged

Project Overview
The successful applicant will develop a concept note on modeling arboviruses across Africa and the impact of interventions in a changing climate.
