To encourage a multi disciplinary approach to the problems of public health and to train professionals who will be better able to cope with the continuing process of change and who will act as leaders in initiating and developing these changes.
To provide MPH level training to physicians (e.g.RMOs, DMOs), senior nurses and allied health professionals in Tanzania and other countries, to enable them to implement action orientated intervention programmes, particularly in disease control.
Objectives
One of the key strengths of the MPH program is its emphasis on fostering a holistic understanding of public health issues. Students delve into the core principles of disease prevention, health promotion, and healthcare management, gaining a solid foundation that enables them to analyze and respond to health disparities, epidemics, and emerging global health threats.

Entry Qualifications
Medical Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists, Environmental Health Scientists, or graduate Nurses from this University College or any other recognized University, OR;
Candidates from any other recognized University in health- or health-related fields such as Sociology, Anthropology, Biostatistics, Demography, Food sciences, Veterinary sciences, Epidemiology, Health information science, and Law.
Graduates must have a minimum GPA of 7 or a B grade average.
